The fiber cement board itself is heavy, and it takes at least two people to move the uncut complete board. The thickness of 4mm-6mm belongs to the thin plate. The thin plate is fragile relative to the thick plate. It needs to be moved carefully before installation. If it is not protected, it is easy to be broken and damaged.

At least two people are required to install the fiber cement board, one to stabilize the board position and the other to fix it with special nails.

Cutting fiber cement board usually requires electric saw or mechanical cutter. There are three cutting methods:

1. The thin plate can be cut and broken with heavy cutting tools

2. Use fiber cutting machine (Australian cutting method)

3. Thick plate or high density plate need to be cut by electric saw

Pay attention to the wind direction in the process of cutting the plate. Try to avoid powder inhalation into the body. Wear a mask or special protective tools. If the powder of the plate enters the lung for a long time, it may cause diseases. After installation, various coatings can be applied for finishing (waterproof coating is required for places exposed to the air). The joints of the fixed boards need to be filled with wood blocks, and the whole board surface needs to be painted with paint, which can prolong the service life of the board. The maintenance workload of fiber cement board installed and fixed and coated is very small. Thick plate and high density plate have good impact resistance, but thin plate and low density plate need to be protected from external impact. Compared with wood wallboard, fiber cement board has good waterproof, fireproof and sound insulation effects, and has no termite, is not easy to rot, and has good corrosion resistance.
