         Air ducts, as the "capillaries" of buildings, are the "fire-fighting magic weapon" of the entire project. In the event of a fire, they are key fire-fighting facilities for effectively controlling smoke. To this end, the project team adopted high fire-resistant fireproof wrapping combined with continuous construction technology of fireproof wrapping, which avoided the brackets blocking the fireproof wrapping, protected the integrity of the pipes of the smoke prevention and exhaust system, and effectively ensured the safety of buildings or equipment in case of fire.           Yuanyang Weil silicate kaolin composite fireproof board is an independent research and development and design of smoke prevention and exhaust duct system production and installation technology by Yuanyang Weil after 5 years, in combination with many experts in the field of smoke prevention and exhaust system production and installation, on the basis of comprehensively considering the factors of the whole process such as production, transportation and installation, and with reference to standards such as JG/T258-2018, JG/T141-2017 and GB 50243-2016. It has significantly reduced the overall weight and comprehensive cost of the smoke prevention and exhaust system.

         Yuanyang Weil smoke prevention and exhaust duct system has passed the tests of the National Fireproof Building Materials Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and the Tianjin Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Management, and has passed the 1-hour, 2-hour and 3-hour fire resistance tests.

 Project Details

          Huawei Shanghai Qingpu R&D Center is located in Jinze Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, and is an important project of Xicen Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Zone. The total land area of Group E is 176,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 221,000 square meters. The construction content mainly includes the primary mechanical and electrical engineering for 12 single office buildings and a 2-story basement, and it is regarded as one of the key projects of the Shanghai Municipal Government.

        In fire protection design codes and technical standards, it is required that the materials used for smoke prevention and exhaust ducts are non-combustible materials. In fact, the requirement for non-combustible materials is only one aspect, which is a necessary but not sufficient condition. An ideal material should simultaneously meet the characteristics of non-combustibility, high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, and long durability. 

        On the basis of summarizing the existing major domestic fire protection design codes, technical standards, and project acceptance specifications, and considering the full life cycle characteristics of smoke prevention and exhaust system products from production, transportation, installation to use and maintenance, we have independently developed silicate kaolin composite fireproof boards for smoke prevention and exhaust systems.
